Lionel Andrés Messi (lahir pada 24 Juni 1987 di Rosario) adalah seorang pemain sepak bola asal Argentina. Posisinya adalah penyerang. Saat ini ia memperkuat FC Barcelona di La Liga (Liga Spanyol). Kemampuannya sering membuatnya dijuluki sebagai “Diego Maradona baru”. Pada awalnya pemain bertinggi badan 169 cm ini beraksi di klub Grandoli, klub asuhan Jorge Messi yang tak lain adalah ayahnya Messi.
